IPL 2022 Schedule: Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 has started and it will be the 15th edition of IPL history and IPL Schedule 2022 has been released. The first match of IPL 2022 will be played between defending champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) from March 26 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai and The final of IPL 2022 will be played on May 29, 2022. The IPL Schedule 2022 was announced by the BCCI on 6 March 2022.
Let us tell you that IPL 2022 will run for a total of 65 days in which a total of 70 league matches and 4 playoffs will be played. IPL season 15 will start from 26 March and will go on till 29 May.

TATA IPL Time Table and First Match Date & Time 2022
The 15th season of IPL 2022 will be played from 26 March 2022 to 29 May 2022 and the first match of IPL 2022 will be played between Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

This time a total of 10 teams are participating in IPL 2022, out of which two new teams Lucknow Super Giants and Gujarat Titans are new. These teams are divided into two virtual groups.

Indian Premier League (IPL)
The Indian Premier League (IPL) was established by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in 2007. It is a professional men’s Twenty20 cricket league. IPL whose full name is Indian Premier League is held every year between March and May. In which ten cities of India have participated.
There have been 14 seasons of IPL so far in which Mumbai Indians has won the most IPL title and the same Chennai Super Kings is second and the first IPL title was won by Rajasthan Royals in which Shane Varne was captained. And the last season of IPL i.e. IPL 2021 was won by Chennai Super Kings
Now then Chennai has won a total of 4 titles and Kolkata Knight Riders has won two and Hyderabad, Rajasthan and Deccan Chargers have won the same title. Talking about other ipl teams, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Delhi Capitals, Rising Pune Supergiant and Punjab Kings have not won a single IPL title.

Awards have also been kept for the winners in the IPL, which include top run-scorer, top wicket-taker , man of the tournament, Fair Play Award, Emerging player award and Most sixes award.
Orange Cap: The Orange Cap is given to the player who has scored the most runs in a season of IPL and in which the final winner keeps the cap. The top run-scorer of IPL 2021 season is Ruturaj Gaikwad who scored 635 runs (2021).
Purple Cap: The Purple Cap is awarded to the person who has taken the most wickets in a season of IPL and in which the eventual winner holds the cap. The top wicket-taker of IPL 2021 season is Harshal Patel who took 32 wickets in IPL 2021.
